Marcos Giron v Adam Walton Head to Head
Giron and Walton have never faced off against each other.
Giron Hoping to Build on Decent Start
Having begun the season ranked 46th on the ATP charts, Marcos Giron has slid down six spots right now but if he can build on the start that he’s got this year, he could find himself getting close to his season’s best.
Giron had managed a couple of wins at the Adelaide International on his way to the quarterfinals and then defeated Yannick Hanfmann and Tomas Martin Etcheverry to reach the third round at the Australian Open.
One would have thought he would be a tough nut to crack when he took to court at his home competition in Delray Beach but he suffered a shock loss to Miomir Kecmanovic after winning his opener.
The reason for his ranking tumble has been down to his performances in February last year. He had made the final of the Dallas Open and was a semifinalist in Delray Beach, none of which he has been able to defend.
Here’s his chance to go deep here.

Walton Makes it Through the Acapulco Qualifiers
Following first round losses at the Brisbane International, Adelaide International and the Australian Open, Adam Walton was resigned to feature in the Challengers.
He seemed to do well there though, making it to the semifinal at one and following that up with a title win at the level the following week.
Walton should have taken that confidence to Delray Beach but for the fourth time this season, he was taken down in the very first round as he lost to Learner Tien.
Here, at the Mexican Open, Walton defeated Adrian Mannarino and Aleksandar Kovacevic to make the main draw but can he avoid making it five opening round losses in a row?
