Denis Shapovalov v Nishesh Basavareddy Head to Head
This will be the first meeting between Shapovalov and Basavareddy.
Shapovalov Wins Dallas Title
In three of the five matches that Denis Shapovalov played at the Dallas Open, he had gone in as second favourite.
He defeated Taylor Fritz, Tomas Machac and Tommy Paul in those rounds to make it to the final before toppling Casper Ruud in the title-decider to lift his second ATP title in a matter of a few months.
Shapovalov had clinched the Belgrade Open title late last year and to triple his title count – he had just one career title till then – might have been the biggest indicator of a turnaround his the Canadian’s fortunes.
There were no real signs either with Shapovalov having lost in the first round of the Hong Kong Open to start off the season and then limping to the second round at Adelaide and Australian Open.
