Frances Tiafoe v Alexandre Muller Head to Head
This will be the first meeting between Tiafoe and Muller.
Tiafoe Needs a Better Showing
Having climbed up to 10th in the world, Frances Tiafoe hasn’t quite been able to live up to that ranking and the start to this season has been specially underwhelming.
Tiafoe began his 2025 campaign at the Brisbane International where he seemed to have done well enough to defeat Adam Walton first up. A second round defeat to Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard followed soon after.
He was stretched to five sets by Arthur Rinderknech in the opener at Australian Open but then lost to Fabian Marozsan in the second. And the same pattern followed in Dallas too for Tiafoe where he won and lost one match.
Coming up against a player who has exhibited some solid form will make things even more challenging for the American but that’s what players ranked in the top 20 are expected to do – face these challenges head on.

Muller Switches over from Clay
Alexandre Muller has had quite a run this year with a title at the Hong Kong Open, first round exits at the Australian Open, Rosario Challenger and the Argentina Open.
He turned things around in Rio when he stunned Joao Fonseca in the first round, defeated Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the second before overcoming the Franciscos, Cerundolo and Comesana to make the final.
And while Sebastian Baez proved to be too strong for him there, Muller ended the week ranked 41st in the world – his career-best ranking.
He also proved he can switch between surfaces easily and by the looks of things, the best is yet to come for the Frenchman.
Can he put up a fight for Tiafoe?
Tiafoe v Muller Prediction
