Luca Nardi v Quentin Halys Head to Head
Their only previous meeting came on the Challenger tour in 2021 and Halys had won that one.
Nardi Makes it Two Shocks in a Row
Luca Nardi’s tournament had been ended by Marton Fucsovics in the qualifiers but here he is, defeating Fucsovics and Zizou Bergs on his way to the quarterfinals.
This was after Nardi was invited back into the competition as a lucky loser and followed it up with one of the quickest tennis revenge one could have had. Within two days of having lost to Fucsovics he pulled off a comeback from behind win over the same opponent.
And in the second round on Wednesday, Nardi proved to be too strong for Bergs and won 6-4, 7-6 (3) to record a rare back to back victories this season.
Nardi will now be looking to make it to the semifinal of an ATP event for the first time.

Halys Goes Past Bautista-Agut
Roberto Bautista Agut had won just one match all season coming into his second round match against Quentin Halys and that had come in the first round here.
He was unable to add to his win count here as Halys followed up his qualifying wins and a shock victory over Andrey Rublev in the first round with a 7-6 (5), 6-4 win against Roberto Bautista-Agut.
Halys had won just one main draw match in the entire season before this and in a matter of a couple of days he has now managed to triple that count.
It will be interesting to see how he tackles a fellow qualifier here, who will probably come hard at him as he hunts for a rare chance to collect a pay-cheque that large and a few more ranking points than he has ever won.

Interestingly Nardi is the little less favourite of the two with bookmakers offering 1/1 for his win and we could see that happen here given the manner in which he has tackled some of his opponents in all of 2025.
