Greet Minnen v Caroline Dolehide Head to Head
This will be the first meeting between Minnen and Dolehide.
Minnen Routs Lamens
While Suzan Lamens was a bit of a favourite at 17/20 going into her second round match against Greet Minnen, all she managed to do in the encounter was to a win one game.
Minnen was at her imperious best as she clinched a 6-1, 6-0 win in a mere 56 minutes to waltz into the quarterfinals in style.
Having needed to come back from a set down to win her opener against Sijia Wei, this was the first time this season that Minnen had won back to back matches in main draw tennis.
And rather interestingly, it came after Lamens had won the first game of the match by breaking her serve.
From that point onward, Minnen went on a game-winning spree and did just enough to grab those games with 65% of the points won on serve.
She will now be hopig to make it to her first semifinal since the Charleston Open last year.

Dolehide Stalls Gracheva
Varvara Gracheva would have thought she has a decent shot at making the quarterfinals at the start of her second round encounter. And that shot would have increased a few-fold when she won the opening set.
Unfortunately for her, Caroline Dolehide found her rhythm from that point onward and earned herself an excellent 5-7, 6-2, 6-2 victory to enter the last eight stage of the competition.
Dolehide had earlier needed three sets to get past Anastasia Zakharova as well in the first round and will now hope to make it to her first semifinal of the season.
Late last year, in what was Dolehide’s last tournament of the season, she had come through the qualifiers in Guanzhou to edge past opponents and make the final. There were three three-setters in that one too.
Can she repeat that showing?
Minnen v Dolehide Prediction
Nothing separates these two here with a possible three-setter in the offing. Backing Minnen to win it if it goes that far.
Minnen v Dolehide Tips
