Zhizhen Zhang v Kamil Majchrzak Head to Head
They have never faced off at this level.
Zhang Struggles Continue Through 2025
Sure, Zhizhen Zhang won a couple of rounds at the Marseille Open including one against Hubert Hurkacz but his struggles other than that have been quite pronounced.
He started off the year with a 1-2 record at the United Cup, going on a four-match losing streak following his opening win in that tournament. This included defeats at the Adelaide International and Australian Open.
While Zhang managed a victory at the Davis Cup, Zhang then lost his opener at Rotterdam, Doha and Dubai sandwiching that rare set of wins in Marseille.
What also needs to be seen is that Zhang was forced to retire from his quarterfinal in Marseille and when he did come back, he looked slightly out of sorts. Unsure if any of that was related to some underlying fitness concerns.

Majchrzak Comes Through the Qualifiers
Having fallen to 122nd in the world, Kamil Majchrzak was forced to feature in the qualifiers here to try and feature in the main draw for the first time since the 2022 edition of this tournament.
Majchrzak, who hasn’t won a single ATP tour level match this level other than a singles encounter in the Davis Cup, went on to crush Trevor Svajda’s chances in the first qualifier before getting the better of Cristian Garin in the second.
Having ended the 2022 season ranked 77th in the world, Majchrzak was suspended from tennis because of a doping violation and it was only in 2024 that he made a comeback.
And what a comeback it has been, with Majchrzak improving from being outside the top 1000 at the start of the year to ending the year ranked 120th. He can be expected to give Zhang a run for his money.
Zhang v Majchrzak Predictions
