Benjamin Bonzi v Jenson Brooksby Head to Head
There have been two previous meetings between them with Brooksby winning at a Challenger event in 2021 and then against the 2022 Wimbledon.
Bonzi Looking for a Win Since Australian Open
Benjamin Bonzi surprised a few by making it to the third round at the Australian Open but his form has fallen away since then.
He did make it to the second round at a Challenger event in Lille but hasn’t done anything else.
The Frenchman lost his second round match there and then fell in successive opening round encounters at Marseille and Acapulco.
What would bother Bonzi is those losses haven’t come at the hands of any of the top 20 players – those last three defeats came at the hands of Arthur Bouquier, Luca van Assche and Brandon Nakashima.

Brooksby 1-4 for the Season after Missing 2023
Jenson Brooksby looked to be coming into his own in 2022 when he hit a career-best ranking off 33rd in the world but hasn’t done much after that.
A wrist injury kept him out of action after that and he received a suspension from ITIA after he missed a couple of doping tests. A reduced suspension of 13 months meant he was back in March last year but he did not play any tennis in 2024.
The American returned to courts in 2025 with a first round appearance at the Australian Open where he was sent packing in the first round by fellow American Taylor Fritz. He then lost to JJ Wolf in the Cleveland Challenger and to Tommy Paul in Dallas – both in first round again.
At the San Diego Challenger, Brooksby won his first match since 2023 when he defeated Coleman Wong in the first round but that’s all he managed there.
Brooksby gets a wildcard here and will be hoping to make good use of it when he takes to court here.
Bonzi v Brooksby Predictions
Nothing to choose between between these two but Brooksby could just hold a slight edge playing in home conditions in front of his fans.
