Christopher Eubanks v Reilly Opelka Head to Head
There have been two previous meetings between these two Americans – at the 2016 Atlanta Open and the 2019 Washington Open – and Opelka has won them both.
Eubanks Struggling to Stitch Wins Together
A former top 30 players, Christopher Eubanks has struggled to get going in recent times and that is reflected in his rankings. It was thanks to his performances in 2024 when he failed to win back to back matches for the first six months of the season before finally doing that in Halle.
Later he was forced to feature on the Challenger circuit and even went on to win one at Knoxville.
Things haven’t changed too drastically this year with Eubanks having featured at the Australian Open, Montpellier Open and in Dallas last week and won just one main draw match in all.
Losses to Tristan Boyer and Matteo Arnaldi at two of them will hurt. And facing up to the serving might of Reilly Opelka now, Eubanks will have his work cut out.

Opelka in Good Rhythm
Since coming back to the tour this year after having been out because of fitness concerns, Reilly Opelka has done enough to suggest he’s not too far away from his best.
Like in his first ATP competition of the season in Brisbane, Opelka stunned Novak Djokovic on the way to the final in which he was forced to retire because of injury.
Opelka made the second round at the Australian Open and was a quarterfinalist at Dallas last week where he took down Alexander Shevchenko and Cameron Norrie in successive matches.
That Norrie match left Opelka bemused after he was handed a point penalty because of the use of a profanity, and could face a reprimand after an outburst against the umpire.
Still, the hunger, passion and game, all have been in full display from Opelka this year and that should keep him in a good stead here.
Eubanks v Opelka Prediction
Fitness will be the key but if that’s not a problem we have no problem going with Opelka to win this and to do that in straight sets.
Eubanks v Opelka Tips
- Opelka to win: 1/2
- Opelka to win in straight sets: 6/4
