Paula Badosa v Katerina Siniakova Head to Head
This will be the first meeting between Badosa and Siniakova.
Badosa Needing Consistency
Paula Badosa has broken right back into the top 10 after having ended the 2023 season ranked 64th in the world and that has been thanks to her consistency over 2024.
She returned in 2025 with an excellent showing at the Australian Open where she stunned Cori Gauff on her way to the semifinals and improved to 10th in the world as a result of that showing.
That’s something to cherish for Badosa who has gone through her fair share of issues with form and fitness after having risen to second in the world at one stage in her career.
However, she would also need to start earning herself some wins in the other, smaller tournaments having registered just one win in all from three other tournaments. The latest of those results came in Abu Dhabi where Badosa lost to Linda Noskova in her opener.

Siniakova Hoping to Return from Hamstring Issue
Things looked to be going well for Katerina Siniakova in the Cluj-Napoca Open where she had registered her first main draw win of the season.
She followed that up with victories over Caroline Dolehide and Viktoriya Tomova to make it to the semifinals when Siniakova suffered a left hamstring injury in her match against Lucia Bronzetti. The Czech player was forced to retire from the encounter.
Earlier in the season, Siniakova had lost in the first round in Adelaide, Australian Open and Linz which makes this injury following a three-match winning run an even bigger bummer.
She has been listed to feature here against Badosa and at the time of writing there were no replacements announcement which could be good news as far as her fitness is concerned. Not so good given her opponent.
Badosa v Siniakova Prediction
Badosa should have no trouble here as she looks to get back to her winning ways and we expect her to make Siniakova run around and clinch this in two.
Badosa v Siniakova Tips
- Badosa to win in straight sets: 4/5
