What Happened in the 2024 Edition of the ATP Dubai?

In what turned out to be a surprise final match-up, Ugo Humbert overcame Alexander Bublik 6–4, 6–3 to grab the title.

Having stunned Daniil Medvedev in the semifinal, Humbert had also earlier overcome Hubert Hurkacz after having faced three match-points in that encounter.

This was the sixth time he had won a title at this level having also earlier clinched tournaments in Auckland, Antwerp, Halle, Moselle and Marseille over the past four years.

In what turned out to be an interesting semifinal, Andrey Rublev was defaulted in his match against Bublik after he swore at a line judge in the final set of that encounter.
